On June 10th, the first conference day,  at 15.15, the Biophilia education group presents the method. Following the presentation you are invited to participate in one of eight hands-on workshops with different themes. The workshops involve working with the themes on a digital platform. Each topic is based on an App - a small, downloadable program which participants are encouraged to download in advance. You will find guidelines as to how on the left side of the website.

To be able to choose a workshop and fully benefit from participation it is strongly advised that participants download the Biophilia Apps Suite onto their touch screen devices before arriving at the conference and bring them to the workshop.

In each workshop there will be 25 participants. Below is a registration form for participation in the workshop. Once the limit has been reached, the registration for that particular workshop will be closed. We ask that participants register with their full names.

1. Thunderbolt (a)
Workshop about lightning and electrical charges. The musical part of it is about broken chords and arpeggios. ‘Thunderbolt’ is about connecting with nature’s most primal and powerful forces.

2. Thunderbolt (b)
Workshop about lightning and electrical charges. The musical part of it is about broken chords and arpeggios. ‘Thunderbolt’ is about connecting with nature’s most primal and powerful forces.

3. Solstice (a)
Workshop about the Earth's tilt and seasons and bass lines and balance in music (counterpoint). ‘Solstice’ celebrates light and the changing seasons produced by the tilt of the Earth in its orbit around the sun.

4. Solstice (b)
Workshop about the Earth's tilt and seasons and bass lines and balance in music (counterpoint). ‘Solstice’ celebrates light and the changing seasons produced by the tilt of the Earth in its orbit around the sun.

5. Moon
Sequencers, lunar phases and tides are the topics of this workshop. ’Moon’ contemplates emotional rebirth and explores the connections between the cycles of lunar phases, their effect on tides and human biological rhythms.

6. Dark Matter
Workshop dealing with dark matter, scientific processes and musical scales. The mystery and loneliness of the cosmos is expressed here through ideas ancient and modern: the breath as spirit that pervades the cosmos, and the invisible ‘dark matter’ which permeates the universe.

7. Hollow
Workshop about DNA, ancestry and rhythms. The emotional themes of ‘Hollow’ include connecting with your ancestors, myth and dancing with skeletons.

8. Mutual Core
Chords and plate tectonics are the topics of this workshop. The song is about freeing oneself from complacency, volcanic eruptions and friction caused by tectonic plates interacting with one another.
