In terms of population, the Nordic countries do not have a substantial position on the global market. Yet, as a region we are, with the modest number of 26 million people, the 5th largest economy in Europe and the 12th largest economy in the world.
The conference intended to inspire the participant on how we can maintain and enhance that position through different approaches to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning and innovation.
IBA International Business Academy in Kolding organizes, in cooperation with NVL Nordic Network for Adult Learning, the conference on entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning and innovation.
NVL is a programme under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers for Education and Research. Among others, they work with strengthening Nordic skill development within entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning and innovation. One aspect of the network’s work is to take part in developing and testing new methods for organizing skill development, among those who work with adult learning, in particular related to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning and innovation.
Hence, the target group of this conference were teachers of adults as well as consultants, managers and employees who work with supporting and enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation in private and public organizations.
Conference results and presentations:
ProAcademy on their entrepreneur model, that has been tested for 15 years. Proacademy is part of Tampere University in Finland and works exclusively with students who have started their own businesses.
AiR, National Centre for Occupational Rehabilitation (NK-ARR), Norway, use open arenas and learning networks as driving forces for workplace innovation. The purpose is to improve knowledge and practice, so that more people can be included in worklife. The pedagogical thinking is to support the cross-sectorial engagement in work, health and education by facilitating co-creation between researchers/ academics and practitioners.
Mälardalens Högskola, Sweden. Hands-on experience with research and learning circles, a model for participant based and action oriented continuing- and further education as well as action research and evaluation design, that is particularly suited for evaluation of circle work.
IBA Erhvervsakademi Kolding, Denmark, on their GoBizz program that offers students a framework for developing their own business.
