International Conference on Validation

“To implement a high quality validation process – a challenge!”

March 5 – 7, 2012, Oslo, Norway

The Conference was organized by NVL, Norwegian Agency for Lifelong Learning (Vox), Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Financial support has been provided by EU and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The goals have been reached

The organizers had set ambitious goals for the conference and the evaluation shows they have been reached. The programme gave an insight into recent and latest research on validation and good / learning practice examples from the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe. The participants got information about the latest policy developments on validation at the European level and discussed how to implement high quality validation in a systematic and structured way.

Important partner and participant cooperation

All the cooperation partners contributed with their specific competence; and by pooled efforts and resources it has been possible to create an inspiring and diverse program with high expertise of presentations and a good process of work for all the participants. The contribution from the projects and participants has been highly valuable and has facilitated highly professional discussions.
