“Creativity as a learning tool – an introduction to Biophilia” on Friday March 14th at 13.00-14.00 CET
The Icelandic artist Björk, is the inspiration behind a new, innovative educational Program, Biophilia. It is based on a concept of creativity as a research and learning tool. The Biophilia Educational Program (BIOED) is designed to inspire participants of all ages to explore their own creativity, and to learn about music and science through new technologies. It is a hands-on program, groundbreaking in its original effort to break up conventional teaching modes by merging music and science together.
“Creativity as a Learning Tool” has been the slogan of this interdisciplinary program which uses the Biophilia App Suite to help link together diverse subjects with playful creativity and the interactive nature of the touch screen.
Guðrún J. Bachmannis the Manager of Public Science Communication Projects at the University of Iceland and is part of the group that has developed BIOED. She will present the concept and idea of the program in this webinar.
