Adult Learners’ Week 2007 in Lithuania “Opening doors into family learning”

The overall goal of the project this year is to develop parents’, grandparents and children’s advocacy capacities in education through joint activities and networking. They need to be taught to cooperate with each other, and to cooperate with schools, ministries, departments and other stakeholders in order to be successful in their advocacy activities. They need certain skills, strategies, and methods of conflict resolution, successful negotiation, and collective bargaining.
One of main aims is to create a positive image of older people in communities. The responsible organization is Lithuanian Association of Adult Education, partners – thousands of Lithuanian people.
The main sponsor of ALW-2007 is Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO.
The motto: Fly high, Adult Education Week!
