Dr Nan Travers is the director of the Center for Leadership in Credentialing Learning at SUNY Empire State College. She focuses on research, policies and practices of the recognition, validation, and credentialing of prior learning. Currently, she is leading the project Credential as You Go: Transforming the Credentialing System of the U.S. It is a way of formally recognizing people’s knowledge and skills in smaller increments and not expecting people to gain a full degree
