In 2019, the Danish UNA launched the game Verdensmål på Spil, which was financial supported by The Danish International Development Agency. The game is a combination of a classic board game and a free app. The players act on a physical game board with pieces and dice, while all textual content and info is conveyed through the app. The target group is from 15 years and up. The teams are each assigned a mission of Global Goals, which they must fulfill by answering questions correctly.
Furthermore, they are presented with scenarios from the real world that send the players in a new direction – and finally they are faced with dilemmas where they have to reach an agreement in order to move on. The purpose is not only to provide knowledge of the Global Goals, but also to reflect on one’s own role an action in relation to sustainable development. During 2021, the app will be updated – both in terms of content – but also in a version where it will be possible to choose between 6 different European languages (Danish, English, German, French, Turkish, Romanian). The update is financially supported by EU-Erasmus + programme. The search title in App Store and Google Play is Verdensmål på Spil – while it will be Global Goals at Stake in the English version.
